Heather Frommack, MS, RDN, CPTD

Master Trainer, Adult Learning Specialist, Certified Cultural Intelligence (CQ) and DISC Facilitator & Behavioral Coach

Hello! I'm so glad you're here.

I help people and organizations to normalize the experience of unity amidst diversity across cultures and personalities.

As a Master Trainer, Adult Learning Specialist, Certified Cultural Intelligence (CQ)  and DISC-certified facilitator and Behavioral Coach, I offer assessments, classes, coaching, and consulting.

I've worked with hundreds of diverse audiences and clients in a variety of settings including individual one-on-ones, nonprofits, ministries, churches, academic settings, and corporations.

We are Each a Human Triad

All of us are a unique triad of intellect, personality + emotions, and culture with each feature playing powerful roles in our behaviors and capabilities.

Many are aware that cognitive intelligence (IQ) and emotional intelligence (EQ) can be measured. IQ and EQ assessments provide valuable and actionable data we can use for growth, development and effectiveness.

What is cultural intelligence or CQ?

Recognizing the foundational impact culture has on behavior and beliefs, Cultural Intelligence or "CQ" was formalized as another form of our intelligence and has been tested by researchers in nearly 100 countries over the last 20 years.

CQ Defined:

"Cultural Intelligence (CQ) is the ability to work and relate effectively across cultures and within intercultural contexts - including ethnic, national, generational, regional, educational, organizational, and other differences." Cultural Intelligence Center

Culture is more than ethnicity, nationality, generation or gender. It's whatever is "accepted and familiar" to you or me.

Therefore, we all have culture and a cultural identity that impacts literally every facet of our lives and behaviors-every. single. day.

Without CQ knowledge and skills, our cultural differences can cause invisible barriers which lead to ineffective teams, disconnected communities, and cross-cultural conflicts.

Yet, there is really great news. CQ, like EQ, is a measurable and growable skill.

My mission is to help normalize unity amidst diversity.

Therefore, through assessments, classes and coaching I help people and organizations:

  • - Understand the 10 Cultural Value Dimensions
  • - Recognize their cultural values as well as those of their colleagues, business competitors, and community
  • - Identify cultural factors impacting communication and collaboration
  • - Develop foundational KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS for intercultural effectiveness
  • - Understand and develop greater Cultural Intelligence (CQ)
  • - Improve team leadership and effectiveness
  • - Prepare for successful integration of diversity into organizations and/or personal lives
  • - Recognize how brains build biases and effective tools for overcoming blindspots
  • - Enjoy the process through engaging warmth, humor and customized actionable outcomes

What our clients say

We place huge value on strong relationships and have seen the benefit they bring to our business. Customer feedback is vital in helping us to get it right.

Suzanne Stephens,

VP Communications & Marketing

Heather exemplifies what it means to be a life-long-learner—always pursuing new avenues of understanding, growth, and improvement.

She added DiSC and CQ certifications to her already robust toolbox to the benefit of our staff.

I found the CQ training she offered our staff to be incredibly helpful—giving me greater insight into better understanding and managing the team I oversee, inter-departmental relationships, and the families we serve, as well as understanding and application within our broader cultural context

Michelle Shaw,

Attorney & Educational Entrepreneur

In the area of cross-cultural bridge-building, we need people who can humbly learn from others.  We need people who have a deep desire to facilitate the development of true relationships across cultures.  Heather is one of those people.  She is thoughtful and strategic when it comes to these issues.

As someone coming from the academic world, I find Heather to be scholarly in her approach.  And, as someone involved in assisting others with cultural awareness, I believe that Heather is on point.  She has developed a framework within which she can help bring about sincere relationships wherein people see the benefits of engaging in the tough work of breaking down barriers.  Instead of an approach in which people are simply forced to respect the cultures of others, Heather has developed an approach where there can be true buy-in by all of those involved.

Eamon Kelly,

PHD Associate Dean of Research

Heather developed and demonstrated creative agility and expertise in adult learning theory. She takes an innovative and energetic approach to learning and problem solving-even proposing her own novel learning theory designed to generate epiphany as a learning outcome. She is deeply curious.

In the decades I’ve been a professor in the master’s degree program, Heather is alone in proposing and developing a novel learning theory.

At graduation, Heather was recognized as one of the top students in the Master of Science in Educational Psychology program.

I strongly recommend Heather to you if you are seeking a professional with a deep knowledge of how people learn in different settings who has both qualitative and quantitative research training.
